Hned ze začátku musím říct, že je kniha psaná v takovém zvláštním stylu. Je tam hodně popisu a málo přímých řečí, což mi obvykle vadí, protože mi přijde, že dost nepoznávám postavy, ale tady mi to překvapivě nevadilo vůbec. I když postava Carol mi přišla (možná právě kvůli stylu knihy) docela odtažitá a chladná, jako by byla robot bez emocí. Naopak postava Terezy byla hezky vyvážená, i když mi vadilo, že z ní vyloženě udělali posedlou touhou a láskou ke Carol. Co dalšího bych knize vytkla by bylo, jak zdlouhavá je, než se konečně dostaneme k tomu, co čtenář očekává od začátku. Čekala bych to třeba už v polovině knihy, bohužel to vygraduje až skoro v samotném závěru. Měla jsem pak pocit, že je konec kvůli tomu zbytečně unáhlený. Navzdory tomu se ale kniha pořád četla dobře, vyloženě nenudila, ale ani ničím nepřekvapovala. Takový zlatý průměr.
