Více o knize
Using the basic structure of the sonnet, with a very abbreviated line, reflective in the sum of the individual traithnin -- or blade of grass -- the poems memorialize, in lyric mode, our days "as grass of the fields". They are poems of mood, written in an idiom that is sensuous, simple, direct, and passionate. Issues of existence, vulnerability, love, friendship, family, and people are central to the collection. Naive, imagistic, and affirmative, the poems reject irony and semantic nihilism. The fingering is deft, the tone and texture light. The poems make out of temporality and stalk, a celebration of the eternal.
