Tuto knihu jsem si koupila z jednoho prostého důvodu - čtu souběžně s životopisnou knihou “Život Leonarda Cohena - I’m your man” od S. Simmonsové (mimochodem úžasná kniha - doporučuji každému, kdo podlehl kouzlu tohoto nadaného umělce a zpěváka mnoha generací), ve které se jeho próza často zmiňuje - jedná se hlavně o jeho nejslavnější knihy “Oblíbená hra” a právě zmíněná “Nádherní poražení”, kterou jsem si chtěla ze zvědavosti přečíst. Je to kniha nekonečných úvah a postřehů a Cohen se v ni snaží vyzpovídat z vlastních pocitů a zážitků. Kniha je na můj vkus docela odvážná, ale čtu ji s pobavením, i když mi občas utíká děj a někdy se v těch jeho úvahách ztrácím. Nemám ještě dočteno a tak to jsou moje první dojmy.
