Dan is a counsellor with OCD, a gardener of other people's thoughts, but so far his most meaningful relationship is with his Labrador, Fitz. Humans are consumed by things we cannot control or change; dogs live from one falling leaf to the next. This is a novel about three people learning to make their way in life, to make connections, and to find joy in living off the leash.
