Více mě bavila dějová linka z minulosti, protože právě ta se odehrávala v léčebně a byla neskutečně zajímavá. Ellen Marie Wiseman si opravdu dala práci a vyhledala si metody a způsoby, jak se tehdy s pacienty zacházelo – a i když některé postupy úplně neodpovídají době, vůbec mi to nevadilo, protože příběh byl napsaný tak poutavě, že jí to s radostí odpouštím. Kniha byla napínavá, romantická, smutná i frustrující – doslova horská dráha emocí. Dlouho jsem nečetla tak silný příběh a jediná drobná výtka by směřovala ke konci, který mi přišel trošku uspěchaný. Více ponoření do emocí by tomu slušelo, ale je to jen malý detail v jinak naprosto výjimečné knize.
