This book is a well-researched, comprehensive study filled with practical advice and strategies to foster greater home-support engagements thereby ensuring students' success. After reviewing existing literature on the importance of parent engagement in improving students' performance, it was reported that a large number of students in Jamaica have been performing below the National Average. The author Dr. Kasan Troupe, suggests an incentivized home-support engagement programme with three components: school-based, home-based and a school home-based component. This veteran educator skilfully provides a wealth of ideas and suggestions she has gathered and these provide a 'compass' of usable and practical information which can be further researched and implemented to improve student performance at any level of the education system.
