This book argues that 21st-century architecture must address urban climate issues like heat and pollution, moving beyond just building climate control. Drawing on empirical studies from cities like Cairo and Geneva, it emphasizes the importance of materiality and social practices in shaping contemporary urban climates and advocates for a new "Thermal Governance."
