Humphrey Jennings

Humphrey Jennings, a pivotal figure in British cinema, was a multifaceted artist known for his innovative documentary films with the GPO film unit, including Listen to Britain and A Diary for Timothy. His work significantly impacted public service broadcasting. Jennings also dedicated himself to his anthology, Pandaemonium, exploring the Industrial Revolution and human creativity. His untimely death in 1950 occurred while filming in Greece, and the anthology was published posthumously in 1985.
