Focusing on the integration of various disciplines such as economics, sociology, architecture, and engineering, this work highlights the evolution of a research group established in 2002 to address academic and social needs in the Colombian Caribbean. In 2006, it transitioned into the Gemci Corporation to enhance service quality and meet contracting demands. The multidisciplinary team, composed entirely of Colombians, aims to contribute responsibly to knowledge and professional practice across social, economic, and political spheres in the region.
