From Infamy to Hope

Set in 17th century Puritan Boston, the narrative follows Rachel Moore, a housemaid who faces severe consequences after being raped and convicted of fornication. Marked with a black "W" for "whore," she navigates a society rife with religious persecution, while powerful figures like Governor John Winthrop and Anne Hutchinson influence her fate. As the colony prepares for war against the Pequot Indians, Rachel disguises herself as a boy soldier in a desperate quest to reclaim her baby, sold by her father.
