It reveals a persistent narrative of White dominance over BIPOC groups, despite some improvements in depicting non-White perspectives. Through textual analysis and interviews with BIPOC students, the work highlights the detrimental effects of misrepresentation on youth identity and advocates for a reevaluation of US history curricula to include diverse narratives and perspectives.
