Více o knize
Frances Burney, also known as Fanny Burney, was a prominent English novelist and playwright whose career spanned several decades. Notably, she served as "Keeper of the Robes" to Queen Charlotte and later married French General Alexandre d'Arblay. Her first novel, Evelina, released in 1778, achieved significant acclaim and remains her most celebrated work. Despite most of her plays going unperformed during her lifetime, her extensive writings, including a memoir of her father, letters, and journals, continue to be published and appreciated for their insight into her life and times.
