In early 2021, the country saw a 17% increase in foreign trade turnover, nearing $20 billion, with a surplus of $828 million. Key trade relationships are highlighted, particularly with nations in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Asia, Europe, and Africa. The role of free economic zones and major industrial enterprises, such as the Minsk Engine and Tractor Plants, is emphasized in driving sustainable export growth, alongside the activities of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.
