As a child, W* sees his loving father kill himself. On the carpet, he finds a note with the cryptic words "I am not who you think I am." He hides the note, telling no one. Since then, his mom has worked two jobs to provide for W* and his younger sister. It hasn't been easy. Eight years later, shy, awkward teenage boy meets girl. J* seems genuinely interested in him, but she also catches the eye of W*'s only friend, a handsome jock named C*. W* has it bad for J*, but he can't stop thinking about the note and the strange circumstances of his father's suicide. He can't get straight answers anywhere. Even C* and J* seem evasive. He follows the clues to the country mansion of the richest family in the county and to the tall, somber man bent on ending his investigations. The knives come out. Must others die in his dogged quest for the truth?
