Contemplating suicide, she sets out to regroup by visiting archeological ruins in the American SW, but is thwarted by unusual weather conditions. When a desert storm sweeps away her backpack and dependable inhaler, she gives chase. Now lost, her shamanistic adventure begins. Traveling through a slot canyon she meets she meets annoying people, a mermaid, talking animals, family ghosts, ancestral forces, and a Puma spirit that guides her on the way.
