Jake Thompson stops at a small diner in central Kentucky for a quick meal before heading to California to see family. Just as he is leaving, a police officer is shot inside the diner. The patrons in the diner claim Jake is the shooter. He has to use all his skills and training he received in the military to save himself and the officer who arrested him. The trail through Kentucky runs from Lexington to Louisville and wherever Jake looks, someone is out to kill him. Only his training and his intelligence can keep him alive. And he can't trust the police.
