Cravenovi se podařilo vystavět chytrou a promyšlenou záhadu, ve které čtenářům mistrně podsouvá různé stopy a falešné domněnky, jen aby je vzápětí vyvedl z omylu. Přitom si kniha po celou dobu drží svižné tempo, takže se od ní jen těžko odtrhnete, vlášť když zrovna nemáte čas číst. Ve své druhé knize také Craven působí mnohem jistěji a zkušeněji. Je vidět, že si jako autor víc věří a má pevnější styl. Na konci navíc děkuje rozsáhlému týmu, který mu s psaním pomáhá. A nejde jen o klasické vydavatele nebo marketing, ale o lidi, kteří se podílejí na samotném procesu tvorby.
