This book of poetry collection speaks to my quest for love and belonging. In my formative years I confined myself to a place of lack, negating the abundance of the power existed within me. It may be argued that in some point in our lives, we were systematically engineered to gravitate towards anything outside of ourselves, perceiving it as better. One's yearn for fulfillment may sometimes be clouded by external and genetically modified factors which then become the quest for happiness. My transition to self-love was a spiritual awakening, turbulent, yet a worthwhile process. Facing the truth about self was fulfilling, which enacted a deep sense of love and appreciation for whom I was created to be.
