JP's childhood was marked by dysfunction, but as an adult, he enjoys a carefree life, working at his siblings’ businesses and avoiding relationships while planning to remain child-free. His laid-back existence is disrupted when he unexpectedly becomes responsible for a seven-month-old baby. Meanwhile, Hannah, who has always been obedient, finds herself traveling to Vermont to investigate her infant niece’s father after her sister's death.
