The wealthy Lord Curtain has been mysteriously murdered. At the crime scene, Scotland Yard Chief Sir John discovers the business card of the "Wizard" Arthur Milton. However, since Milton has already fled to Australia, Sir John travels to London with his wife Cora Ann and butler Finch to clear his name and solve the case himself. Inspector Wesby, who once pursued Milton, is convinced of his innocence and is willing to collaborate with the "Wizard."
