The study explores the effects of neonatal sertraline treatment on body weight, depression, and exploratory behavior in young adult rats. The experimental group received a daily dose of 15 mg/kg of sertraline from the first to the twenty-first day of life, while the control group was administered distilled water. The research aims to understand how early intervention with a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor influences behavioral outcomes later in life.

The study investigates the impact of perinatal malnutrition on locomotor activity in adult female rats, focusing on variations during the oestrous cycle. Results indicated reduced weight and physical characteristics in malnourished rats compared to those with adequate nutrition. Following this, research on young women analyzed how menstrual cycle phases affect muscle strength and reflex excitability in the sural triceps. Findings revealed no significant changes in muscle twitch kinetics or neuromuscular efficiency across different menstrual phases.
