Lakomec je asi nejznámější Moliérovou komedií. Hlavní postavou je lichvář a necitelný lakomec Harpagon, který je pro peníze schopen obětovat vše, i rodinu a děti. Les Précieuses ridicules est une satire en un acte et en prose. Les Précieuses sont Magdelon et Cathos, deux jeunes provinciales, qui sont venus à Paris en quête d'amour et de jeux d'esprit. Gorgibus, père de Magdelon et oncle de Cathos, décide qu'ils doivent se marier à un couple de jeunes hommes, mais les deux femmes trouvent les hommes pas assez raffinés et leur ridiculisent. Le Médécin malgré lui raconte l’histoire de Sganarelle et Martine, deux époux. Après une violente dispute entre eux qui dégénère en bastonnade appliquée par le mari à sa femme, Martine cherche à se venger de Sganarelle, en le faisant passer pour un médecin alors qu’il n’a aucune connaissance. Mais contre toute attente, ce médecin malgré lui fait merveille.

Le Malade imaginaire est la dernière comédie et en même temps la dernière pièce écrite par Molière. Il s'agit d'une comédie-ballet en trois actes. Dans la satire outrageante de Molière sur la médecine et ses praticiens on peut dire que le riche Argan “jouit” d'une mauvaise santé. Les laxatifs, suppositoires, saignées, et les opinions deuxième et troisième des charlatans éminents sont à l'ordre du jour et l’enfer de Toinette, sa servante qui ose lui contredire. Sa fille Angélique est amoureuse de Cléante, mais Argan veut la marier à Thomas Diafoirus, un médecin qui ne vaut rien, qui peut assurer à son beau-père des soins de santé pour la durée de sa vie. Cléante se déguise en professeur de musique pour pouvoir voir son amour, mais Béline, la deuxième épouse d’Argan, menace de les dénoncer. Une Toinette déguisée, des sages conseils de son frère Béralde, et une scène de mort truquée, vont enfin montrer à Argan qui il peut faire confiance.

Les Femmes savantes est une pièce de théâtre en cinq actes et en alexandrins de Molière, comédie de mœurs notamment sur l'éducation des filles, créée au théâtre du Palais-Royal le 11 mars 1672.
