Set in Bradford during Ramadan, the story follows Shaz, a garage mechanic grappling with the fallout from a local scandal involving Asian men. As tensions rise with a planned racist march, Shaz's sister, Samina, aims to speak at a counter-demonstration, complicating Shaz's desire for a peaceful life and his hopes of marrying his beloved. The unfolding events challenge his aspirations and force him to confront the societal issues impacting his community.
