Focusing on the dynamics of male-perpetrated violence, this book introduces a conceptual tool that merges masculinities and countercoloniality theories. It delves into the specific conditions of violence in Mexico, critically examining the influences of USA/Eurocentrism and the patriarchal systems that sustain such violence. By questioning these structures, the work advocates for a decolonization of masculinity and proposes transformative changes to promote alternative, liberating masculinities. Ultimately, it envisions a holistic approach to understanding and addressing crime, emphasizing Good Living (Buen Vivir) and a love for life.
