Life in blue

Evzen Sobek has documented life on the banks of a reservoir in the Czech Republic since 2007. In this manmade recreation area, an unusual community of campers and tents has developed, which for many residents has become a second home over decades of holidays, changing the strange, barren landscape. The series tells of their everyday activities and enigmatic, trivial or bizarre stories. Sobek always maintains his stance as neutral observer who portrays the lakeside community with respect and a great deal of empathy.
