This volume focuses on various comparative perspectives on educational media in Germany and Norway. It examines both "classic" analog media such as textbooks and complementary digital access through computer games. The contributions are situated within the fields of history, language education, and media education. Among other topics, the volume explores how World War II is taught in schools in Germany and Norway and the extent to which global perspectives can be found in textbooks; how modern foreign language instruction can be designed; and how historical learning can be achieved through computer games. With its binational perspective on Germany and Norway, the volume enters a relatively unexplored area of research and lays the groundwork for further studies.
