Isabella grew up in the Australian outback in a constant state of fear, desperately afraid of the mother who controlled her. At fifteen, she left Australia for an American university on a tennis and academic scholarship. While she majored in speech pathology, her heart lay in gymnastics, and she remained unsure where life would lead her. As she traverses an on-off relationship with her university boyfriend and wrestles with complicated friendships and unexpected heartbreaks, Isabella must decide who she is and how she wants to spend her life.
