A Rose on the Rock

Více o knize

This is the remarkable story of an underprivileged boy who 'rearranged' the stars. As a backyard dweller, he leaned on the 'fragile pillars' of his siblings as they were subjected to abject poverty together and attended school barefoot, in the charge of his 15-year-old brother. Forced to scavenge for food at school during lunch breaks, Joseph learned early in life that injustice prevailed, having also endured abuse in childhood and became a lifelong campaigner against abuse and underdevelopment. Determined to change things, the boy went on to become a forward-thinking businessman. Since having to fight for his own education, Joseph has funded that of many other children through his campaigns, community centres and charitable foundations. He is a decorated graduate from Regenesys Business School, University of Johannesburg and Lyceum College and a subscribing member of the Greenpeace organization. Here, in his own way, Joseph tells his tale of triumph over adversity, illustrating the limitless possibilities in life for those who fight for them and encouraging the underprivileged children of the world to follow his inspiring path.
