This three-volume work includes contributions from over 40 authors. The first volume discusses morphology and systematics, anatomy, genetics, life cycles, ways of life, reproduction, polymorphism, and interactions with the environment. It also includes an in-depth study of aphid evolution, particularly in relation to plant evolution, as well as the processes governing population structure and speciation.
