Free Men

Set in 1788 Alabama, the story intertwines the lives of three men: Cat, a troubled white man grappling with his past; Bob, a loquacious black man escaping the horrors of slavery; and Istillicha, a man driven by a desire for revenge after losing his place in Creek society. As their paths cross in the southern woods, themes of trauma, freedom, and power dynamics emerge, highlighting the complexities of their individual struggles and the historical context of their time.
