Oral submucous fibrosis, a prevalent fibrotic disorder in South East Asia, particularly India, affects 0.2-0.5% of the population. The nasolabial flap is highlighted for its vascularity and safety in one-stage reconstruction of oral defects, offering satisfactory interincisal mouth opening. This minor procedure, performed under general anesthesia, is effective for small to moderately sized defects in the oral and maxillofacial region. Additionally, the buccal fat pad serves as a reliable graft, promoting uneventful healing without notable disadvantages.
