Toby Olson's literary journey spans poetry and fiction, beginning in high school and continuing through his time in the Navy and his education at Occidental College. With a Master's Degree from Long Island University, he taught Creative Writing at Temple University. His debut novel, The Life of Jesus, was followed by eleven more novels and numerous poetry collections. Now in his mid-eighties, Olson identifies primarily as a poet who also writes fiction, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to both art forms.
