Human-Centred Economics

Focusing on the chronic underperformance of economies, this open access book critiques the traditional liberal economic growth model for neglecting the importance of institutions. It argues that legal norms, policy incentives, and public administrative capacities are essential for transforming market growth into meaningful improvements in social welfare. The author emphasizes the need to balance the focus between markets and institutions, production and distribution, and national income versus household living standards to achieve sustainable economic progress.
