The research explores the social factors contributing to the ineffectiveness of a committee responsible for establishing political equilibrium in Aheoua. It examines various elements, including the social positions of committee members, selection criteria, conflicting interests regarding customary power succession, and the actors' socio-cultural skills in conflict management. The study confirms the hypothesis that these factors hinder effective governance. The author calls for support from European Union countries to fund further research on this critical issue affecting political dynamics in Africa.
