She eventually does agree to marry someone who is in America to keep her parents happy and in this book, she takes us on the journey of her immigration, culture shock, and becoming mother. Adjusting to a life with a stranger in a new country brought challenging, funny, and scary situations which she navigated with strength, and daring that she has portrayed through her yet fresh perspectives of her birth country.
