As a children's librarian, I'm always looking for poetry that speaks to the everyday experiences of kids, and this new collection by William Conelly does just that. From digging for worms with a teaspoon, to imagining the moon as lemon candy, these 14 poems capture the daily delights of a young boy named Tommy in his rural home West of Boston. With playful descriptions of toys and riddles that are reminiscent of the poems of A. A.
