Diversity is defined as "the condition of having or being composed of differing elements". If we examine the world around us, it will be obvious that diversity serves as the foundation for so much of what we experience. For example, our landscapes have been shaped by many factors like natural resources, weather patterns, economic circumstances, and political events. Within any given country, you'll find that each state, region, territory, or area has its own individual set of attributes. That is the epitome of diversity centered as the foundation. There are so many facets of our being where diversity serves as the foundation. However, when it comes to diversifying our workplaces with underrepresented employees, there seems to be systems of resistance at play.
