Diagnosis of the impacts of agriculture on the Muzambo River in Muzambinho

Due to the increase in the world population and, consequently, the growing demand for food, agriculture has become increasingly essential for maintaining life and eradicating hunger. Seeking to meet these demands, agriculture has been gaining greater proportions, which often culminate in negative environmental impacts from this activity. One of the natural resources most affected by the disordered expansion of agriculture is water resources. This book makes a diagnosis about agricultural activities and the environmental impacts caused by this activity in the Muzambo River basin in the municipality of Muzambinho - Minas Gerais, evaluating, in a descriptive way, the intensity of the impacts, whose data are analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. In this context, the anthropic influence on the local environment is evaluated through the characterisation of agricultural and domestic activities carried out in the region, and, likewise, the impacts caused by these activities were characterised.
