Poke Rafferty, an American expat in Bangkok, is trying to build a new family with his fiancée Rose and streetwise Miaow. Just as he begins to find stability, he becomes entangled in a series of complications when he takes in Miaow's troubled friend and agrees to help locate a missing uncle and confront a blackmailing thief.
